Privacy notice

Last updated: October 25, 2026

Restored Network is run by [[OPERATOR LEGAL NAME]] (to be completed) (“we”). Questions and requests go to contact@restorednetwork.com, or by mail to [[MAILING ADDRESS]] (to be completed). Some church invitations are sent on behalf of a sponsor, such as BRAVE Church or Metro Relief.

This notice covers restorednetwork.com: the public site, the family app, the partner portal, and the emails we send. Our terms of use apply too.

The short version

  • Your case is private to the people on it. Our small admin team can see parts of it to help you. Partners see only what you choose to send them.
  • We never send, relay, forward or receive messages to or from an incarcerated person. We draft text. You send it from your own account.
  • We never hold, move or request money. Deposits go through official BOP channels.
  • We don't sell your information, show ads, or use tracking cookies.
  • This is information, not legal advice. Ask your attorney.

What we collect

Your account

Your email address, your name, your phone number if you add it, and your password, which our sign-in provider stores scrambled. If you signed up on our sign-up page, we also keep the date you agreed to our terms.

Your case

What you tell us about your loved one: their name and nickname, register number, facility, dates, sentence length, the city, state and ZIP code they will come home to, the phase they are in, and where they will go before release. Also everything you add: tasks, documents (such as court papers, certificates and copies of IDs), contacts, letter requests and drafts, call agendas and notes, journal entries, reminders, support items, the mail log, program enrollments, credit and release-date estimates, outcomes, the person profile (which can include faith background and prayer requests), and introduction requests and replies.

Some of this is sensitive. It can show someone's legal situation, health, faith or family life. Add only what helps you.

Information about other people

A case is about someone other than you, and it can mention children, an attorney, a probation officer or other contacts. Only add information you have a right to share. If you are the person in custody, or their attorney, and you want to ask about a case that concerns you, write to us.

When you use the site

Our providers record technical details, such as IP address, browser and the pages requested, so the site works and stays safe. Our sign-in provider records sign-in events, including IP address and browser. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits to our pages (see Cookies and analytics). In the family app, your browser keeps your time zone in a small cookie so times show correctly.

From churches and partners

For directory listings: the organization's name, description, location, website and public contact details, and for consultants their professional background. For partner users: name, email and which listing they belong to. From the church request form: the church's details, the contact person's name, email and phone, and anything they write.

Church invitations

We email invitations to churches that we or our partners already know, using contact details they gave us or publish themselves. We never buy or scrape lists. For each church we keep the church name, contact name, email, phone, city, state, denomination, our notes, and what happened (sent, replied, requested a listing, joined, unsubscribed).

Spam protection

To stop floods of requests and emails, we count recent uses of the church request form, the sign-up, sign-in link and password reset forms, and case invitations. The counts are kept against scrambled codes made from the IP address, the email address or the account involved, for about two hours. We don't keep the IP address or email address itself in those counts.

How we use it

  • To run your case: checklists, documents, reminders, drafts, and showing churches and programs near where your loved one will live.
  • To send the emails described below.
  • To help you when you ask for support.
  • To count outcomes for reports to funders and partners. Those reports contain counts, never names or your notes.
  • To keep the service secure and stop misuse.
  • To meet legal obligations.

We don't sell personal information, use it for advertising, or build profiles for anyone else.

Who can see your case

People on the case

The owner and every helper can see and change everything in the case. Only the owner can delete it or manage who is on it. Helpers join by email invitation or with the case's share link. Anyone who has the share link and signs in can join as a helper, until the owner resets the link or turns it off. Removing a helper resets the link.

Partners you contact

When you ask a partner for an introduction, the people who answer requests for that listing see your name, your message and the date. They see your phone number or email only if you tick those boxes on that request. If you also turn on profile sharing, partners who accepted your request can read your loved one's first name, release city and state, current phase, and the profile text: bio, interests, faith background, programs, what would help, and prayer requests.

Partners never see the last name, register number, facility, dates, documents, journal, letters, contacts, calls or reminders. After a partner accepts, you may see a link to that partner's own sign-up page, such as Gloo or Planning Center. What you enter there is covered by that site's policy, not ours.

Our admins

A small team at Restored Network can see the basic case record (the person's name, register number, facility, dates, release area and phase), who is on the case and their email addresses, and how many tasks, documents, letters and other items the case holds. They also see the outcomes you record, by kind and date, without your notes. Our admin screens don't show documents, journal entries, letters, contacts or call notes.

Our team has technical access to the database so it can run the service. We look at what is inside a case only to help you when you ask, to keep someone safe, or when the law requires it.

Companies that run the service for us

They process data only to provide their service to us.

  • Supabase: our database, sign-in and document storage. It also sends our account emails: confirmation and sign-in links, password resets, and invitations to new addresses.
  • Railway: runs the app and keeps its server logs.
  • Cloudflare: network, security and delivery for the website. It handles all traffic, including IP addresses, and runs Cloudflare Web Analytics for us.
  • Resend: sends our other emails: reminders, introduction notices, invitations to existing accounts, church invitations and notices to our team.
  • Anthropic: the AI model that writes drafts (see AI drafting).
  • Namecheap: forwards email sent to our restorednetwork.com addresses to the mailbox our team reads.

When the law requires it

We may share information when the law requires it, such as for a valid subpoena or court order, or to protect someone from serious harm. When the law allows, we will tell you first so you can respond.

If the service changes hands

We will tell you before your information moves to another organization, and this notice will still apply to it.

Emails we send

  • Account emails, sent by Supabase: confirming your address, sign-in links and password resets.
  • Invitations to a case or to the partner portal: Supabase sends them to a new address. When the address already has an account, we send the invitation ourselves. A case invitation names the person who sent it, and every invitation link works only for the address it was sent to.
  • Reminders: when email is on for a reminder, everyone on the case who has accepted their invitation gets an email before it, as many days ahead as the reminder says. The email gives the date, the time and the kind of reminder, with a link to sign in. The title and notes you write stay in the app. To stop these emails, untick email on the reminder.
  • Introduction notices: when a family asks a partner for an introduction, we email the partner's contacts that a request is waiting. When the partner accepts or declines, we email the family member who asked. These emails never include the family's name, the message, the reply or anything about the case. They ask you to sign in.
  • Notices to our team: when a church sends the request form, our team gets an email with what they entered.
  • Church invitations: a short invitation to list a church in our directory, sometimes on behalf of a sponsor such as BRAVE Church or Metro Relief. Every invitation shows our postal address and has a one-click unsubscribe link. After someone unsubscribes, we keep their address on a do-not-email list so we never email it again. The link in an invitation carries a code that tells us which invitation led to a request.

We never email the person in custody or anyone on their behalf. Reminders, introduction notices and invitations are plain text, with no tracking pixels. If you reply to one of our emails, your reply goes to our team at contact@restorednetwork.com.

AI drafting

When you ask for a draft, we send our AI provider, Anthropic, what you typed, the kind of draft, the tone, your loved one's first name or nickname, and your first name. We don't send documents, register numbers or the rest of the case. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, this data is not used to train its models, and Anthropic deletes it within 30 days. If it is flagged for breaking Anthropic's usage policy, it can be kept for up to two years.

The draft is saved in your case until you delete it. If the AI is not available, we write the draft from a template on our own server. Please leave out health details and children's names when you can.

Location

We turn the release ZIP code into the approximate center of that ZIP code, so we can show churches and programs nearby. We don't ask for or store a street address for the release location. If you search the public directory by ZIP code, we use it only to sort that search. Like any web address, it can appear in our providers' server logs.

Cookies and analytics

We use only the cookies the site needs:

  • Sign-in cookies, with names starting “sb-”. They keep you signed in and protect the sign-in step. They last until you sign out, and never more than 400 days.
  • A “tz” cookie in the family app. It stores your time zone, such as “America/Chicago”, for one year so times show correctly.
  • Cloudflare may set a security cookie that helps tell people from bots.

Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views for us without cookies or similar storage on your device, and Cloudflare says it does not fingerprint visitors. It records things like the page, the site you came from, your browser and device type, your country, and how fast the page loaded.

We don't use advertising cookies, and nothing on the site follows you to other websites. Because we don't track you across sites, we treat every visitor the same way, whether or not your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.

How long we keep things

  • Your case: until the owner deletes it, or until no one is left on it (see Deleting). Archiving a case keeps everything.
  • Items you delete, such as a document, draft or journal entry: removed right away.
  • Your account: until you delete it.
  • Our activity log, which records who did what and when: 24 months.
  • Church request forms and invitation records: [[RETENTION PERIODS]] (to be completed). The do-not-email list is kept for as long as we send invitations.
  • The scrambled codes used for spam protection: about two hours.
  • Server and security logs at our providers: as long as each provider keeps them, [[RETENTION PERIODS]] (to be completed).
  • Backups: deleted data can remain in encrypted backups for [[RETENTION PERIODS]] (to be completed).
  • AI requests at Anthropic: up to 30 days, as described above.

Deleting, copying and correcting

Delete a case

The owner can delete a case in its Settings. This deletes the case, everything in it, and its documents, for everyone on it.

Delete your account

Go to Account and choose “Delete my account”. Before you confirm, the page shows what will happen to each of your cases. A case you own alone goes to the person who has been on it longest, who becomes its owner. If no one else has joined it, the case is deleted with its documents. You leave every other case.

Your sign-in, name and phone number are deleted. What you added to a case that stays, such as tasks, documents and notes, stays with that case for the family, no longer linked to you. If you can't use the page, write to contact@restorednetwork.com from the email on your account, and we'll finish within 30 days.

Get a copy, or correct something

Write to us and we'll send a copy of your case within 30 days. You can download any document from the vault at any time. To correct something, edit it in the app or write to us.

Children

Restored Network is for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account, and we don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. Families may mention children in a case. We never ask for children's names or require them, and we never show anything from a case to the public. Please keep children's names out of the shareable profile and introduction messages, because partners can read those.

Security

Database rules limit every table to the people allowed to see it. Documents are kept in private storage and open only through links that expire after 60 seconds. Data is encrypted in transit, and our database and storage provider encrypts it at rest. No system is perfect. If a breach affects your information, we will tell you as the law requires.

Where your data is kept

Restored Network is for people in the United States. Our providers may store and process data in the United States and in other countries where they operate. Cloudflare handles each visit at the data center nearest the visitor.

Changes

If we change this notice in a way that matters, we'll post the new version here with a new date, and tell account holders by email or in the app before it takes effect.
